Congratulations on David Favorites for accomplishing his goal of earning a Division I scholarship as he will be playing for Colgate University. We are very proud to have been blessed with the opportunity to work with such a hard working, committed young man. Here is a recent article by Texas Hoops on David Favorites highlights.
Proud to have David as a part of the 210 Jayhawks family!
Making the most of his time in front of recruiters was 210 Jayhawk (San Antonio) Tony Lewis. He quickly showed that he is one of the most improved players over the recent months and he has a really good feel for the game under the basket. The 6-foot-9 Lewis has a good understanding of how to gain position in the middle of the paint and pin his man where they can’t get around him. He has soft hands and nice footwork, but he also showed that he can consistently hit the 15-footer. To TexasHoops’ surprise, Lewis got the ball several times in the high post area and squared his body to hit the shot. Now, he is a below the rim player, but that shouldn’t matter much when he has size and a good head on his shoulders. The offers that have been rolling in are from New Mexico, Tulsa, UT-Arlington, UT-Pan Am, North Texas, Louisiana Monroe, Incarnate Word, Kansas State, Boston College, Indiana State, Pennsylvania, Louisiana Lafayette, and Santa Clara.
In the first of 3 of the most competitive weeks in high school club basketball the 210 Jayhawks traveled to St. Louis for the Jerry Mullens High Profile Invitational only tournament. This event has been highly recognized as one of the top events in the nation featuring some of the top talent from the midwest and south. While competing in front of hundreds of NCAA/NAIA Division I & II and Junior College coaches the 210 Jayhawks proved to be one of the top programs on display in the entire tournament!
